Details of the Division and Team:

Operations is responsible for driving the planning and the day-to-day management of the business to align with the bank's mission and strategic goals. Operations set the direction and manage performance to bank targets with a focus on continual performance improvement. Work includes:

  • Identifying and prioritizing product and service improvement opportunities and creating plans for implementation Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of the company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business

  • Supporting bank strategy, proactively identifying and managing areas of risk

  • Maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including regulators, market vendors and internal divisions

  • Communicating changes to operational requirements and their impact on relevant processes and controls

Your key responsibilities:

Candidate is expected to have a deep understanding of custody products and processes.

Responsible for driving the planning and the day-to-day management of the operations to align with the bank's mission and strategic goals.

  • Lead Custody Operations team in Indonesia and lead the team in delivering excellent support to business and client.

  • Identifying and prioritizing product and service improvement opportunities and creating plans for implementation.

  • Supporting bank strategy, proactively identifying and managing areas of risk.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and internal operating procedures.

  • Ensure operational requirements and their impact on relevant processes and controls are complete and updated in timely manner

  • Drive improvement initiatives and transformation in operations processes. Achieving cost target.

  • Drive effective and efficient operating model.

  • Provide clear directions and solutions in managing daily operations and create effective control design and implementation.

  • Focus on people’s development and ensure strong succession planning.

  • Provide oversight for adequate production controls and escalations and proactively managing internal and external audits.

  • Maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including clients, regulators, and internal divisions.

Your skills and experience:

  • 12+ years’ experience in a financial services organization (preferably a tier 1 corporate bank environment) with experience in Custody Operations.

  • Good technical and commercial understanding of the Custody Products as well as Operations processes.

  • Strong understanding on Indonesia regulatory reporting requirement

  • 8+ years of leadership experiences with strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple teams

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage teams across geography

  • Strong analytical skills, able to demonstrate flexibility and take ownership regarding problem solving

  • Ability to understand different business processes across Custody Operations

  • Ability to work in tight deadlines fast-paced environment.

  • Manage complexity and ambiguity well with proven skills to take leadership in managing risk and control within an operational setup

  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting at all times, taking ownership for instigating and executing initiatives

  • Knowledge of automation toolkit and Robotic Process Automation will be a plus

  • Working knowledge of human centered design/ design thinking
