Your role:
This role is mainly responsible for mainstream business (airfreight, ocean, parcel, and rail) within the Indirect Procurement organization, ensuring service providers are sourced and selected in the most cost-effective way while fulfilling business objectives for inbound and outbound flows across the Asia markets (Greater China, Japan/Korea, ASEAN & Pacific, and India Subcontinents).
- Develop and review commodity strategies of airfreight/ocean/parcel/rail with the global team and business stakeholders, with pre-defined execution plans
- Lead regional negotiations on spot bids, mini-tenders, or programs based on business dynamics and needs, and ensure negotiated contracts are published on time, if needed
- Contribute to annual global tenders (airfreight/ocean/parcel) and facilitate implementation of awards with the business in the Asia region
- Support the business in resolving escalations related to freight capacity and service provider performance, establishing efficient and effective communication
- Lead/orchestrate regional cost productivity programs with business stakeholders and secure pre-defined savings realization within the agreed timeline;
- Follow company compliance requirements (e.g. Supplier Quality, Sustainability, EHS, etc.) and procurement policies for regular procurement tasks such as Contract Workspace (Ariba), S2C Approval (Ariba), Saving tool (GEP), Vendor management (Oscar), etc.
- Collaborate with Sustainability and Quality departments to ensure all warehouses and transport suppliers are in compliance with Sustainability and Quality
You're the right fit if:
- Experience 10 plus years experience in international logistics / supply chain functions in particular related to international freight forwarding in Air/ Ocean/Parcel/ Rail commodity
- Education : Master or Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- Excellent negotiation skill, and knowledge in game theory will be an advantage
- Sound and practical knowledge of how supply chains work and be able to assess the cost drivers of logistics processes
- Process improvement techniques based on Lean Manufacturing principles will be a plus
- Extensive networks in logistics industry, with focus on Air/Ocean/Parcel/Rail
- Excellent planning, meeting timeline, and presentation skills
