What You Will Do
- Lead global category strategy for a significant portion of enterprise spend, driving value, innovation, and risk mitigation across the portfolio.
- Define and execute category strategies that align with business priorities, ensuring strong performance across quality, service, cost, and supply continuity.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Divisional Procurement, Supplier Quality, Operations, Materials Management, Engineering, Senior Leadership, Legal, and Compliance to deliver integrated sourcing solutions.
- Drive value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives to develop and implement Global Category Plans, including cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk management, and contract strategies.
- Develop and execute commodity strategies in support of divisional and enterprise business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong commercial and contractual relationships with senior leadership at key suppliers.
- Lead sourcing analytics and decision‑making, including total cost modeling and make‑versus‑buy analyses.
- Align strategic external investments with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Research and Development and Business Development teams, to support innovation and capability growth.
- Manage procurement budgets, conduct financial analysis, and use forecasting to optimize spend and ensure alignment with financial objectives
What you need:
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement.
- Proven experience leading enterprise‑level category strategies in a global or matrixed environment.
- Experience in Medical Devices or highly regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of capital equipment and manufacturing‑related categories (CAPEX).
Preferred
- Experience working with complex global supply bases and senior executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and drive results in cross‑functional environments.
