Frank Beer Distributors in Milton, WI is now hiring a Category Planning Specialist. The team members of Frank Beer Distributors are committed, innovative leaders of the beverage industry through marketing, selling, distributing, merchandising, and servicing quality products to our valued customers. 

The Category Planning Specialist is responsible for developing solutions for their assigned accounts to grow the size and the value of the customer's beverage category, while capturing a disproportionate share of growth which includes the sale and implementation of retail space plans. 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales teams and retailers to develop category management strategies that drive growth and maximize shelf space. 
  • Analyze sales, market, and shopper data to identify opportunities and provide actionable recommendations. 
  • Create and present category reviews, shelf set proposals, and merchandising plans to retailers. 
  • Design and implement store resets, planograms, and space planning solutions using category management software. 
  • Track sales performance, distribution, and promotional effectiveness through reporting and account analysis. 
  • Coordinate new product introductions, promotional displays, and point-of-sale opportunities. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, suppliers, and internal teams. 
  • Stay current on industry trends, product portfolio, pricing, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Support sales initiatives through customer visits, meetings, training, and special projects as needed. 
What You'll Bring
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. 
  • Experience with category management, space planning, merchandising, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) preferred. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing business needs. 
  • Proficiency with category management tools and Microsoft Office; experience with eoStar or similar industry software is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of beverage industry sales, pricing, promotions, and retail merchandising is preferred. 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 
  • Previous sales, category management, or beverage/CPG industry experience preferred. 
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required permits and licenses, including a liquor salesperson permit. 
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
