YOUR ROLE
In your daily job you will:
- Supervise and develop regional leaders.
- Setting goals for the team.
- Coach the team in the execution of the work plan to meet objectives.
- Manage commodity budget performance.
- Understand, support & communicate business objectives to the team.
- Link information to find global opportunities.
- Create strategies to meet PBU objectives.
- Provide support and solutions to any team escalation.
- Supports the SCM purchasing process as required.
- Comply with policies and procedures.
- Any other work activity related to your position and/or required by your immediate manager

YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Completed bachelor's degree
- +10 years proven work experience as a Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Senior Buyer, or similar roles or similar role
- Advanced English
- Valid U.S. visa required for business travel
- Experience in automotive industry
- Proven experience managing direct spend categories
- Strong leadership experience
- Experience operating in a regional role
- Proven knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Good communication skills, capable of facilitating and documenting meetings
- Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order software platforms. Experience with SAP is preferred
