YOUR ROLE

In your daily job you will:

  • Supervise and develop regional leaders.
  • Setting goals for the team.
  • Coach the team in the execution of the work plan to meet objectives.
  • Manage commodity budget performance.
  • Understand, support & communicate business objectives to the team.
  • Link information to find global opportunities.
  • Create strategies to meet PBU objectives.
  • Provide support and solutions to any team escalation.
  • Supports the SCM purchasing process as required.
  • Comply with policies and procedures.
  • Any other work activity related to your position and/or required by your immediate manager
  • Comply with policies and procedures

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Completed bachelor's degree
  • +10 years proven work experience as a Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Senior Buyer, or similar roles or similar role
  • Advanced English
  • Valid U.S. visa required for business travel
  • Experience in automotive industry
  • Proven experience managing direct spend categories
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Experience operating in a regional role
  • Proven knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills, capable of facilitating and documenting meetings
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order software platforms. Experience with SAP is preferred
