Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for oversight of NPI process and improvements required to meet objectives
    • Research and document market data, and new applications opportunities. Compile data into new product funnel for derivative and breakthrough products. Identify new product opportunities and product development projects based upon market research and competitive trend analysis.
    • Prioritize product enhancements and work closely with business partners and key stakeholders to deliver and maintain those enhancements.
    • Understand pricing activity and policy. Use financial analysis tools to make informed strategy/product decisions.
    • Work cross functionally with all departments to support all phases of new product launch
    • Work with supporting departments to develop and implement dynamic product testing, including development of test specifications, and physical testing apparatus
    • Provide support in resolution of technical product quality issues with failure mode analysis and validation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business required
  • Minimum 3 years product, sales, or marketing management experience
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of sealing components specifically for automotive chassis, powertrain, and driveline systems/applications
  • Understanding of automotive application repair/remanufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry preferred
  • Experience with Staged Gate product lifecycle processes, and APQP practices
