About the Role:

The Harmless Harvest Category Manager is a key member of our Sales Team, who delivers meaningful category and trade insights to develop our sales strategy. This role will consist of managing high impact projects, including but not limited to shaping Harmless Harvest's enterprise distribution strategy, crafting compelling sales stories grounded in insights, analyzing price and promotional plans, optimizing assortment across key customers, and working in lock step with cross functional partners and the sales team to drive seamless execution.

The ideal candidate will be analytical and strategic, yet creative, with an ability to think outside the box to turn data findings into clear, concise and compelling stories that deliver meaningful impact on the business. You will be responsible for both leading and supporting the sales team in developing category strategies that enable Harmless Harvest to drive growth and profitability. You will demonstrate leadership as you approach your responsibilities and projects, acting pragmatically and influencing across the organization to deliver with excellence. You are someone who has a knack for numbers and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive deep into the data to extract hard hitting insights. You will be a growth-minded leader who demonstrates grit, thinks and acts in a disciplined, yet disruptive way, and you can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be responsible for supporting the sales team in developing customer/channel specific category strategies that will contribute to Harmless Harvest sales and profit growth, while delivering on specific portfolio initiatives
  • Leverage consumer and retailer insights via syndicated data to identify opportunities and make fact-based strategic recommendations that result in portfolio expansion and market place success
  • Provide a perspective on the performance of price and promotional tactics
  • Serve as an internal expert on all things category - working cross functionally with finance, marketing, innovation, supply chain and field sales
  • Must be great at collaboration, communication and leading within a strong team environment

Requirements

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 4+ years of experience in Sales Category and Trade Management, CPG experience preferred
  • Experience working with syndicated data (i.e SPINS, Nielsen, IRI)
  • Personal ownership of results, ability to bring an innovative approach to getting things done
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, team player mentality
  • Creative PowerPoint presentation building skills
  • Outstanding communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000*

*The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors incluing but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, relevant certifications, department equity, traning and organizational needs. Base pay is just one liece of the total rewards program offered by Harmless Harvest which includes comprehensive perks and health benefits.
