Job Description

Category Manager – Marketing, Sales & G&A Procurement

Experience: 5–8 years
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Department: Global Indirect Procurement
Reports To: Senior Category Manager, Indirect Procurement

Role Overview

The Category Manager supports and executes procurement strategies across Marketing, Sales, and G&A spend areas. This role leads sourcing initiatives, manages supplier performance, partners with business stakeholders, and supports cost efficiency, supplier effectiveness, and operational improvement.

This role requires hands-on sourcing experience, strong analytical and commercial skills, and the ability to guide buyers or analysts supporting category execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and execute category strategies across Marketing, Sales, and G&A categories.
  • Lead sourcing activities including RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract support.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, HR, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to align sourcing work with business needs.
  • Manage supplier relationships, track performance, support business reviews, and escalate risks or issues.
  • Conduct spend analysis, benchmarking, savings tracking, and sourcing reporting.
  • Evaluate scopes of work, pricing models, rate cards, SLAs, and supplier proposals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, process improvement, and demand management.
  • Provide guidance to procurement buyers or analysts and support junior team development.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, sourcing processes, and contract standards.

Category Scope

Marketing: Media, creative production, sponsorships, experiential activation, localization, digital marketing, social, influencers, research, analytics, and marketing technology.

Sales: Distribution and channel partners, call centers, customer service, eCommerce support, retail merchandising, field sales activation, and sales enablement tools.

G&A: Professional services, HR services, contingent labor, finance services, legal services, advisory services, and corporate services.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or supplier management.
  • Experience with Marketing and/or indirect procurement categories such as Sales or G&A.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute sourcing events and support negotiations.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing suppliers and tracking performance against KPIs or SLAs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience guiding or mentoring junior team members preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • SAP Ariba, Excel, Power BI, or similar tool experience preferred.

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Atlanta, Georgia is: $101,000-$138,875.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
