Job Description

You know the moment. It's the first notes of that song you love, the intro to your favorite movie, or simply the sound of someone you love saying "hello." It's in these moments that sound matters most.

At Bose, we believe sound is the most powerful force on earth. For nearly 60 years, we've been dedicated to making every listening experience a little more magical. Behind every product we create is a global supply chain that delivers innovation, quality, and exceptional customer experiences. Join us in helping shape that future.

About the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Team

The Manufacturing & Supply Chain organization transforms ideas into world-class products. From sourcing critical components to delivering finished products to customers around the globe, our team enables Bose to operate with speed, resilience, and excellence.

Our Procurement team plays a critical role in this mission by developing strategic supplier partnerships, driving commercial value, mitigating risk, and enabling our business through innovative sourcing strategies.

Senior Category Manager, Global Logistics

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Category Manager to lead Bose's Global Logistics category. In this role, you will develop and execute category strategies across a diverse portfolio of transportation and logistics services supporting Bose's worldwide operations.

Success in this role requires an experienced procurement professional who is equally comfortable developing long-term category strategies, leading complex commercial negotiations, influencing senior stakeholders, and building high-performing supplier partnerships. The ideal candidate is proactive, operates with a high degree of ownership, and consistently delivers results with minimal oversight.

Working closely with Supply Chain, Distribution, Transportation, Finance, Legal, and Operations leadership, you will optimize supplier performance, manage business risk, identify market opportunities, and deliver measurable value across Bose's global logistics network.

What You'll Do

Develop Category Strategy

  • Develop and execute multi-year category strategies aligned with Bose's global supply chain objectives.
  • Build strategic sourcing roadmaps that balance cost optimization, operational performance, supplier innovation, sustainability, and risk management.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand evolving priorities and translate them into procurement strategies that deliver measurable value.
  • Continuously evaluate market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies to improve Bose's logistics network.

Lead Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Negotiations

  • Lead complex sourcing initiatives across global transportation and logistics categories, including Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Parcel, Third-Party Logistics (3PL), Warehousing & Distribution, Over-the-Road Transportation (TL/LTL/Intermodal), and Reverse Logistics.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, manage RFIs/RFPs, evaluate suppliers, negotiate commercial agreements, and oversee contract execution.
  • Drive total value optimization through competitive sourcing, supplier consolidation, commercial negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure contracts appropriately balance commercial value, operational flexibility, and risk mitigation.

Build Strategic Supplier Partnerships

  • Develop executive-level relationships with strategic logistics providers.
  • Establish supplier governance processes, including Quarterly Business Reviews, performance scorecards, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Monitor supplier performance against key service, quality, delivery, and financial metrics.
  • Partner with suppliers to identify innovation opportunities that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and long-term value.

Deliver Market Intelligence & Risk Management

  • Monitor transportation markets, capacity trends, fuel indices, geopolitical developments, tariffs, regulatory changes, and supplier financial health.
  • Translate external market intelligence into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies that improve business continuity and resilience.
  • Benchmark Bose's logistics portfolio against industry best practices and emerging market trends.

Partner Across the Business

  • Serve as a trusted procurement advisor to Supply Chain and Logistics leadership.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, savings planning, and investment decisions.
  • Partner with Legal to negotiate commercial agreements and manage contractual risk.
  • Work closely with Operations and Transportation teams to ensure sourcing strategies support service and operational objectives.
  • Present category strategies, supplier recommendations, and business cases to senior leadership.

Drive Procurement Excellence

  • Champion procurement best practices, sourcing governance, and supplier management processes.
  • Support procurement transformation initiatives, including increased spend visibility, sourcing compliance, and standardized procurement processes.
  • Utilize spend analytics and market data to identify value creation opportunities and improve decision-making.
  • Measure and communicate category performance through KPIs, supplier metrics, savings reporting, and executive dashboards.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
