Join our dynamic UK Procurement team and be at the forefront of shaping the future of market strategy, governance, and policy delivery. As a Category Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in steering significant value through strategic sourcing and robust supplier relationship management within the FM spend arena.
You'll have the autonomy to craft and execute a visionary Category strategy, taking charge of the entire UK expenditure for your area. Your expertise will ensure that our products and services are not only sourced competitively but also align with the evolving needs of our business, driving cost-effectiveness and enhancing our operational excellence.
In this role, you'll spearhead cost-saving projects, directly contributing to the success of your department and Bupa. Your strategic acumen will guide you in selecting top-tier suppliers and fostering progressive relationships using the latest in supplier relationship management practices. What you’ll do:
- Developing, implementing, and delivering a comprehensive category plan for Hard FM which has a clear savings/opportunity pipeline.
- Leading on supplier selection and qualification and managing relationships with key suppliers using contemporary supplier relationship management techniques (including supplier development and measurement).
- Identifying and delivering multiple cost saving initiatives to achieve individual and department targets.
- Leading on contract negotiations on behalf of the organisation and developing negotiation plans
What you’ll bring:
- Significant Category Management experience across Facilities management
- Proven ability and experience of delivering savings through driving strategic category planning.
- Experienced negotiator who is proficient at drawing upon and developing fact-based negotiation plans and operating at a senior level
- Industry and marketplace experience relevant to this role including knowledge of relevant industry legislation would be an advantage.
