As a Category Growth Analyst, this role supports the Target Sales team as the category expert, shaping and executing consumer-led, customer-backed strategies across the Kraft Heinz portfolio. Acting as a consultative partner and insights expert, the Category Growth Analyst influences strategies across shelving, assortment, innovation, and the path to purchase throughout customer and sales routines. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Omni, BU Strategy, and Shopper Insights teams to deliver tailored, data-driven and category-centric solutions that create mutual value and elevate Kraft Heinz as a trusted advisor to Target across key category initiatives.  This role supports our commitment to developing a world-class Category Leadership function—built on curiosity, learning, and a mindset of continuous growth.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Deliver insight-led strategies to enhance category growth and Guest experience, providing strong category expertise throughout sales routines
  • Translate consumer and shopper data into actionable, tailored recommendations across assortment, shelf, and innovation​
  • Support strategic customer engagements (e.g., line reviews, JBP sessions) with clear, category-centric, insight-driven stories​
  • Collaborate across Sales, Omni, BU Strategy, and Shopper Insights to align on and activate category priorities​
  • Apply omnichannel strategies to optimize the Guest experience across digital and in-store touchpoints​
  • Stay current on marketplace and shopper trends; proactively surface growth opportunities​
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and functional capability-building across the team​

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Experience in category management and/or calling on Target
  • Demonstrated ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights ​
  • Strong application of assortment and shelving fundamentals
  • Tested experience collaborating across functions in a fast-paced environment​
  • Proven proficiency in syndicated and shopper panel data tools (e.g., Circana, Numerator) and retailer-specific platforms (e.g., VIQ, DOMO)
  • Growth mindset with strong ownership and execution discipline​
  • Strong communicator and problem-solver​
  • Collaborative team player

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is considered a normal office environment with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces. Additionally, this role requires a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations.

Physical Requirements 

  • ​​​Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed 
  • ​Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule​​ 
  • Travel up to 5% of the time

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$77,800.00 - $97,300.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
