Job Description

As a Category Analyst within the Indirect Procurement team, you will play a critical execution and analytical role leading sourcing initiatvies for sub-categories and supplier management activities while also supporting category strategies across several General & Administrative (G&A) categories, including HR, Travel, Workplace Services, Finance, and Legal. This role is designed for developing procurement professionals who bring strong analytical capability, structured thinking, and disciplined execution to sourcing projects.

You will support defined categories and lead subcategories, contribute insights that inform category strategies, and execute low- to mid-complexity sourcing activities under established frameworks. You will also have oversight of the company’s travel program. This role builds the foundation for progressing into full category ownership and strategic leadership roles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support category strategies through spend analysis, market research, and supplier benchmarking.
  • Execute and lead low- to mid-complexity sourcing activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, bid analysis, and supplier evaluation.
  • Negotiate commercial terms for low-risk or lower-value agreements within predefined approval and negotiation guardrails.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify specifications, and provide sourcing updates.
  • Support contract development by reviewing commercial terms and ensuring alignment with procurement and legal standards and eventually own contract management
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and support governance activities, escalating issues as required.
  • Prepare sourcing recommendations and insights to support decision-making by Category Managers and Associate Category Managers.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation to improve sourcing consistency and compliance.

Travel Program Ownership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the company’s travel program.
  • Manage travel supplier relationships and monitor service delivery and compliance.
  • Support travel program policy alignment, technology enhancements, reporting, and serve as a point of escalation for traveler support needs.

Required Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
  • Solid understanding of sourcing processes and commercial fundamentals.
  • Effective communicator who can collaborate across functions.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems (SAP Ariba or similar).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience with travel management or travel suppliers is a plus.
