The Catalog SME supports product configuration and data management activities by translating engineering specifications into system-level inputs for product catalogues and BOMs. Working under general supervision, the role ensures accurate configuration, supports engineering changes, and maintains compliance with quality and change management processes.
Your role:
Translate detailed product specifications into accurate system data for BOMs and product catalogues
Support implementation of engineering changes (ECO/ECM) with high accuracy and compliance
Create and execute action plans for configuration updates and product changes
Maintain complete and audit-ready documentation of all configuration activities
Ensure data consistency and integrity across ERP/PDM systems
Monitor adherence to change management and quality standards, escalating risks where required
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing) to support configuration processes
Provide accurate data inputs and operational support to senior team members
Continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and industry practices
You're the right fit if you have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field
3-6 years of experience in Configuration Management / Product Data Management /Quality / Systems / Engineering Data roles
Deliver high accuracy in BOM and configuration data, with minimal rework or corrections
Demonstrate strong learning agility, quickly becoming proficient in SAP, PDM tools, and internal processes
Show ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring timely and quality execution of configuration changes
Maintain discipline in documentation and audit readiness at all times
Exhibit proactive communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
Ensure strict compliance to ECM, quality, and regulatory processes
Support team efficiency by reducing turnaround time (TAT) and improving data reliability
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (process simplification, automation, data quality)
