Job Description

About this job:

• This position is embedded in the Cat Portfolio Analytics team, a highly analytical team responsible for Cat portfolio steering, maintaining our Cat pricing tools and pricing complex Cat deals, Cat exposure monitoring and reporting across the group.
• The role focuses on portfolio reporting and accumulation of Cat exposure across the group, in close collaboration with the Cat modeling and Actuarial teams.

Reporting to the Head of Cat Portfolio Analytics your main tasks are to:

• Perform quarterly Cat capacity aggregation and reporting
• Perform quarterly Cat portfolio roll-up, by aggregating Cat exposure and simulations across the group
• Provide portfolio results (e.g. Probable Maximum Losses) to various internal and external stakeholders, including management, retrocessionaires, regulators and rating agencies
• Support the annual Cat capacity planning and allocation
• Support Cat portfolio steering to achieve a better risk return profile

Qualifications

About you:

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications and personal qualities:

• Master degree in Mathematics or Natural Science, or a related field with a strong quantitative background.
• Knowledge in R, Python or a similar language, and SQL is a plus
• 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience in the (re)insurance industry, or knowledge on Cat modeling, is a plus
• Pro-active, solution oriented with a high level of self initiative
• Ability to work well in a team and to contribute towards common goals
• Fluency in English is required
