Business Title: Cash Application Specialist
Position Type: FTE

Reports To: Accounts Receivable Shared Service Leader
Position Description:
Work with accounts receivable (A/R) team to apply customer payments quickly and accurately. Apply and reconcile all customer payments in a timely and efficient manner with accuracy. Research remittance details for accurate payment allocations on all customer payments. Work with collection team on incoming payments to ensure customer service as well as optimal handling of accounts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Apply all customer payments timely and accurately so customer account balances are complete and accurate, enabling a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Research payments when needed to ensure proper allocation. Communicating with customers as required.
- Reconcile payment posting with necessary general ledger accounts, bank activity reports and internal treasury reporting. Ensuring all daily activity is accounted for and balances.
- Track and resolve cash on account postings when invoice allocations are unknown.
- Track and resolve unposted cash when the customer of the payment is unknown.
- Identify commonly occurring situations where payments from customers are unclear. Provide management with process improvement suggestions to minimize these situations.

- Detail oriented and accurate data entry is required.
- The ability to quickly navigate several systems and spreadsheets in parallel is required.
- Strong organization and time management skills are required.
- Ability to work in a fast pace, growing office environment.
- Performs well in an individual and team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of peers.
- Customer-centric mindset with effective communication skills (verbal and written).

Required Education and Experience:
- Experience and knowledge of full order to cash lifecycle.
- 1-5 years’ experience with cash application in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite is required.
- Infor Visual, Infor XA, or Cashbook knowledge is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business a plus
Supervisory/Responsibility:

Work Environment:
This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. Although the employee may spend a portion of his/her time in the office area, the employee’s essential job duties also require the employee to spend a portion of his/her time in the manufacturing area. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
