We are seeking an individual that desires to make a change in the lives of young adults through career counseling, mentorship, and education. Program Overview
The Out of School Youth (OSY) program is for low-income young adults (ages 18 24) disconnected from education and employment. It is funded through the Workforce Innovations and Opportunity Act in Prince George County. Eligible participants establish a Career Pathway with individualized education and employment goals, at no charge to the participant. It is our goal to train / educate / mentor our youth participants and enable them to achieve the skills needed to join the workforce in a meaningful career.
Career Navigator - Job DescriptionRecruit, enroll, and connect participants to education and employment resources with exceptional case management services. Ensure enrolled participants stay connected with the program and make incremental gains towards their Career Pathway goals. Deliver case management services to participants in person, by phone, and virtually. Appropriately document participant services their case notes. It is the Career Navigators responsibility to identify and remediate barriers to successfully completing the program and funnel participants to the appropriate resources.

- Ability to interact professionally with participants to motivate them to achieve their goals
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and a general knowledge of workforce policies and procedures
- Intermediate computer knowledge of Microsoft Suite and use of remote presentation platforms
- Ability to meet and / or exceed monthly performance expectations
- Must possess a valid in-state Drivers License and meet the Company insurability requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree from an accredited university. Direct experience may be substituted.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
- Experience in Human and Social Services related field and case management
