Teche Action Board dba “Teche Health” has exciting opportunities for a Cardiologist to join our Federally Qualified Health Centers. This position is for our site in Franklin, Louisiana. The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, motivated, hard-working and flexible, must be able to multi-task, have a great attitude, thrive in a fast-paced work environment and must be a rapid learner. Ideal candidates will have a passion for serving the underserved and be able to work as a team player in building a strong practice. This clinic-based opportunity is well supported by MD’s, NP’s, RN’s, LPN’s and Medical Assistants.


Qualifications:

Must be Board Certified in Cardiology 

  • Must be a graduate of an approved medical school, completion of an approved internship and/or residency program in Cardiology.
  • Must be currently licensed for the practice of Medicine in the State of Louisiana or eligible
  • Newly trained as well as experienced physicians are welcomed to apply
  • Flexible Work Hours with no on-call.

**Due to CMS Mandate all applicants must be fully vaccinated prior to onboarding with Teche Health with the exception of an approved Medical or Religious Exemption.**

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency program in internal medicine.
- Completion of a fellowship in cardiology.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical cardiology practice.
- Proven track record of diagnosing and treating a wide range of heart and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in cardiology.
