Job Description
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Environmental Sustainability team at the Ignitis Group shared service center, where you’ll be responsible for leading and managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting, planning, and reduction projects to support the Group’s decarbonisation goals. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Taking ownership of GHG emissions tracking and planning across the Group
- Developing and maintaining tools and databases to assess the Group's carbon footprint
- Supporting the modelling of the Group's decarbonisation pathway
- Analysing data and conducting benchmarking to identify emission reduction opportunities
- Enhancing GHG management processes to meet or exceed targets
- Collaborating with teams to efficiently manage projects
- Preparing accurate GHG inventory reports for sustainability disclosures
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field
- 2–3 years of demonstrated experience in carbon accounting, with familiarity in Scope 1–3, product–specific assessments (LCA), and a solid understanding of frameworks such as CSRD, SBTi, and the GHG Protocol
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Keen attention to detail, with a continuous drive to identify opportunities for digitisation and automation to improve efficiency
- Excellent command of MS Excel, Power BI, and other relevant tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex topics in both Lithuanian and English
