As a Car Specialist, you’ll be joining our Marketplace team that is focused on helping our clients to buy, sell and finance collector cars through Broad Arrow Auctions, Collectors Garage, Broad Arrow Capital and Hagerty Marketplace. We are seeking candidates who have both sales experience in the collector car industry as well as those with highly specialized knowledge/expertise in collector cars, ideally across several marques and periods of production.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with car collectors and clients by providing quality advice and expertise.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on buying and/or selling collector cars.
  • Proactively generate and develop new clients through cold calling and attending collector car events.
  • Drive revenues through consigning and selling cars via auctions and private sales.
  • Inspect cars in person on behalf of clients.
  • Work closely with the company’s Research & Editorial team to accurately describe cars consigned for sale at auctions or private sales.
  • Travel regularly to visit clients who are looking to either sell or buy collector cars.
  • Attend automotive events around the country as requested.
  • Assist with consignment processes by liaising with the appropriate support teams including administration, client services, and marketing/PR.
  • Oversee photography and cataloging for individual consignments as needed.

  • Excellent professional reputation with strong integrity and ethics.
  • Proven experience in automotive sales, collection management, vintage racing or similar with a deep knowledge of collector cars.
  • Positive team player with a focus on collaborating with team members to provide the best advice and outcome for clients.
  • Proven track record of sales and client relationship management.
  • Strong knowledge of the collector car market, trends, and values.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to deliver under time pressure and deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Able to operate manual transmissions and classic cars.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • This position can be worked anywhere within the United States, some of the positions to be located in Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC, Denver, CO, Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations, including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
