Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 32 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced CAPPS Financials Technical Support Specialist to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • CAPPS Central Experience:
    • Must have experience with CAPPS Central on the finance side.
    • Capable of jumping into support roles and answering questions immediately.
  • Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Pick up and respond to requests and questions from the help desk inbox.
    • Conduct thorough research to resolve issues.
    • Provide assistance with testing and documentation as needed.
    • Share screens to help troubleshoot and resolve user issues.
    • Participate proactively in meetings.
  • Ticket Management:
    • Manage and process requests manually via the help desk mailbox.
    • Submit tickets to the CPA through the ASP system as needed.
  • Additional Financial Expertise:
    • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) troubleshooting.
    • General Ledger (GL) or Budgeting experience.
    • Knowledge of procure-to-pay process.
    • Experience with Asset Management & SPA staging tables.

    • Excellent communication skills to handle user queries and provide clear, concise solutions.
    • Ability to document processes and solutions effectively.

Extensive knowledge and experience required with the Comptroller's CAPPS Financials application, specifically proficiency with the four core modules: Accounts Payable, Asset Management, General Ledger/Commitment Control, and Purchasing.

Proven working experience in providing help desk support. Has a basic understanding of ITSM practices along with working knowledge of help desk software, databases and remote control.

Able to receive calls and inquiries, provide support in accordance with established processes and document incidents and remedies.

Must be great communicators and be able to translate their technical knowledge into actionable direction.

Must have experience with CAPPS Central on the finance side.

Experience with Asset Management & SPA staging tables.
