The Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical support for the Company’s financing strategy and capital markets activities, including assessment of financing alternatives, preparation of financing/underwriting materials, and transaction execution. This person will also assist in managing the Company’s existing debt instruments, including debt covenant compliance and reporting and utilization of facility commitments, and executing the hedging program.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support for all financing-related activities, including Excel modeling, report generation, and coordination with  Asset Management, Operations, Finance and Accounting teams to review and analyze asset-level and corporate financial results and operating performance metrics, and communicate to the various lending partners.
  • Build underwriting and financial models to support requirements associated with debt financing structures, including internal analysis of key metrics/terms, the impact of covenants, and deliverables to third parties.
  • Work with senior members of the Capital Markets team to ensure compliance with obligations in financing agreements, including delivery of required financial reporting and covenant compliance documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain debt-related documentation, including offering memoranda, term sheets, and financial reports.
  • Manage monthly funding requests under financing agreements, including associated documentation requirements.
  • Track macroeconomic and market-specific performance indicators that could impact consideration of financing alternatives.
  • Collect, synthesize, and model data to support analysis of strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and asset management decisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for the Company’s Senior Management Team, Board of Directors, current and/or potential investors/ lenders.
  • Interact with key internal and external partners, including financial institutions, sponsors, loan servicers, legal counsel, and others.
  • Assist with FX and interest rate risk management, including hedging strategies, program execution, and monthly settlements.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and strong academic record. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required; financial modeling and/or real estate focus preferred.
  • Investment banking, corporate banking, private equity, finance, and/or accounting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with various real estate and infrastructure debt financing structures, including securitizations, is a plus.

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

  • High degree of proficiency with Excel required, including comfort and familiarity with advanced Excel functions. 
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint, required.
  • Well-developed analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mentality and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfort and familiarity with basic finance and accounting theory, including reading and comprehending financial statements.

Skills Required
