We are seeking a talented individual to join our Capital & Advisory team, Guy Carpenter’s investment banking unit, as an MBA Summer Associate. This role will be based in New York City. This is an in-person role that has a requirement of working four days a week in the office.

Guy Carpenter’s Capital & Advisory team, part of the Global Capital Solutions unit, specializes in delivering strategic, independent advisory services to clients worldwide. Launched in 2024, the team focuses on capital raising, M&A, and creating new market capacity within the (re)insurance sector. We support clients through complex transactions, new company formations, and long-term business planning, leveraging deep industry expertise. By integrating M&A and capital-raising advisory with Guy Carpenter’s global broking platform, the team offers a holistic, conflict-free approach designed to attract capital and drive sustainable growth. The MBA Summer Associate is a feeder role for our full-time Associate position. Our bankers work closely with clients to navigate complex financial landscapes, unlocking opportunities that align with their strategic vision. We will count on you to:
- Support senior team members by assisting with day-to-day tasks, preparing materials for client meetings and engagements, and helping coordinate project workflows to ensure smooth execution of advisory engagements
- Develop an advanced understanding of the (re)insurance and banking industries through exposure to market trends, client portfolios, and internal training sessions
- Conduct research and analysis on market conditions, capital structures, and potential M&A opportunities to provide valuable insights that inform client strategies
- Prepare materials that communicate complex concepts and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a holistic view of the capital advisory process and contribute to integrated client solutions
What you need to have:
- Fully matriculated student pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree is required with an expected graduation date of May 2027
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
