About the role

The Capability & Digital Learning Experience Consultant will support the development of a high-performance culture through the implementation and coordination of employee inclusion, engagement, digital learning, learner experience, learning measurement and learner development strategies. Key to the success of this role is the ability to coordinate and deliver multiple streams of work with the involvement and engagement of internal stakeholders. 

The role will support the development, delivery and ongoing management of core people processes, programs and platforms. 
 

What you’ll be doing

Digital Learning Solutions: 

  • Assesses learning needs and develops expert level blended learning solutions using innovative and creative digital techniques to ensure learners grasp concepts and retain information. 

  • Applies user experience (UX) principles to ensure learning experiences are intuitive and user-friendly.  

  • Crafts learning narratives and engages learners through digital storytelling. 

  • Applies adult learning theory in complex organizational settings. 

  • Applies digital instructional design with proven experience designing and producing digital / e-learning products (using Powtoon, Articulate, Chameleon Creator, Adobe Captivate and/or similar programs). 

  • Designs and develops digital performance support materials, such as facilitator and participant guides and/or job aids. 

  • Effectively uses a variety of multi-media tools to develop innovative training solutions. 
     

Knowledge and data management: 

  • Works collaboratively with Capability & Learning teams to ensure all learning program materials, e.g., lesson plans, guides and aids are in the appropriate knowledge repository. 

  • Ensures that all relevant L&D management documents, i.e., scoping documents, status reports and PIR material is stored on the relevant knowledge management site for each project. 

  • Develops and maintains robust, best practice, learning measurement and process for learning solutions. 

  • Drives alignment between governance and strategy. 
     

Consulting: 

  • Consults with the business to determine the best course of action to address targeted capability gaps and future learning needs. 

  • Mentors and coaches’ business stakeholders around adult learning principles in a blended learning environment.  

  • Takes the lead in team brainstorming activities to understand learning needs analysis output and direction for learning solutions.  

  • Conducts formative and summative evaluations to assess the effectiveness of instructional materials and make necessary improvements to enhance future learning programs. 

  • Ability to manage and deliver numerous projects at once with competing deadlines. 

What you’ll bring

  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint). 

  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies and approaches. 

  • Able to manage competing priorities, multiple projects and confident working across diverse stakeholder groups. 

  • Stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.  

  • Ability to work both as a member of a team and autonomously. 

  • Ability to research and analyse data and information, with strong reporting expertise and excellent data management skills. 

  • Organisational and planning skills, and good project management skills. 

  • As virtual reality and other emerging technologies become more prevalent in learning, familiarity with these areas will be increasingly valuable. 

  • Extensive experience working with Workday as an LMS will be highly regarded. 

  • Knowledge of P&C frameworks and practice in the areas of talent, culture, career development and leadership development will be highly regarded.
