Cambridge Examiner

EF Language Abroad is looking for a driven, results oriented Cambridge Examiner to join our team in Quito or Guayaquil.
In this sales role, you will be responsible for actively growing our Cambridge exams business by engaging with schools, teachers, and institutions building strong partnerships and driving exam registrations across Ecuador.
Your mission is to expand our reach, hit sales targets, and deliver a professional and seamless experience for every client, from the first contact through to exam registration.
Your main responsibilities are:
Conduct oral English examinations in accordance with Cambridge English procedures
Complete mark sheets accurately and with attention to detail
Attend annual Certification of Procedure (CofP) meetings
Be available to examine during a substantial proportion of the examining period
Maintain professional conduct and cultural sensitivity throughout all assessments
Requirements:
Education & Qualification
- First degree or equivalent
- Recognised English language teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, Delta, CertTESOL, TKT Band 3 or 4, PGCE with EFL/ESOL focus, or equivalent)
Experience
- Minimum 1,800 hours of relevant English teaching experience
- Recent full-time teaching experience within the last 2–3 years
English Language Proficiency
- Minimum C2 level for C1/C2 exams; at least 2 CEFR levels above the exam being administered
- Clear diction, intelligible in an international context
Professional Profile
- Responsible, conscientious, and deadline-oriented with strong attention to detail
- Open to guidance and feedback
- Access to a PC/laptop and broadband internet
- Professional presentation and cultural adaptability
Candidates must meet the minimum professional requirements established by Cambridge English to be certified as a Speaking Examiner (SE), including holding a recognized teaching qualification, a relevant academic degree, and substantial English language teaching experience. Full criteria are assessed during the selection process.
