Job Description – CAE Project Lead

Location: Chennai
Experience: 10+ Years
Education: B.E./M.E. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering

Role Summary

Lead CAE activities for automotive vehicle development programs, including simulation planning, convergence management, technical decision-making, and cross-functional coordination. Strong expertise in Crash Analysis (mandatory) is required, with exposure to NVH and Strength & Durability simulations. CFD knowledge is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead CAE planning, simulation convergence, and validation activities.
  • Coordinate simulation activities across Design, Testing, Architecture, and Program teams.
  • Drive technical reviews, issue resolution, and engineering decision-making.
  • Ensure timely delivery of simulation results and project milestones.
  • Drive design optimization, process improvement, and lessons learned.

Technical Skills

  • Automotive CAE and structural simulation expertise.
  • Mandatory experience in Crash analysis.
  • Knowledge of NVH and Strength & Durability analysis.
  • Understanding of vehicle systems, structural engineering, and regulatory requirements.
  • Design optimization and lightweighting knowledge.

Software Skills

  • ANSA
  • PAM-CRASH / LS-DYNA
  • Abaqus
  • MetaPost

Required Experience

  • 10+ years in Automotive CAE.
  • Experience leading CAE activities and project execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • OEM experience is mandatory.
