Georgia Military College – Main Campus announces the immediate opening for three part-time (up to 29 hours per week) CSO positions reporting directly to the GMC Deputy Commandant of Cadets-Operations (DCO). CSOs are overall responsible for the health, welfare, good order, and discipline of the Corps of Cadets. Anticipated hours of work are Monday to Sunday 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. Execute other duties as assigned by the Commandant of Cadets.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Enforce good order in the Corps of Cadets barracks and areas cadets frequent on campus.
- Enforce cadet standards and rules in accordance with the GMC Cadet Guide.
- Monitor the safety and security of Baugh Barracks and surrounding areas to include the cadet parking lot and lower football fields.
- Ensure the safety and security of cadets inside of Baugh Barracks overnight and be on hand for any emergency medical or security situations.
- Compile any incident reports as they occur and report them directly to the Commandant and DCO.
- Work in conjunction with GMC Campus Police to address any situations in the Cadet Barracks that require police involvement.
- Assist with any extra duties as required assigned by the Commandant of Cadets or the Deputy Commandant.
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in the use of information technology and business systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Wear Cadet Safety Officer uniform during duty
Preferred:
- Have completed at least one enlistment contract in any military branch of service
- Drill Sergeant experience would be a plus.
- Associates Degree or higher.
*Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.
