About the Role

As our CAD Administrator, you will be the backbone of our engineering design process. Your mission is to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and efficiency of the digital tools our teams use to create cutting-edge autonomous ground systems. You will own our Autodesk Vault and Inventor environments, empowering engineers to design, innovate, and collaborate at speed.

This is more than a support role; you are a critical enabler of our mission. You will actively shape our design workflows, implement best practices, and maintain the rigorous data management standards required in the defense industry. Your expertise will directly contribute to our ability to develop and deploy robust, mission-critical robotic platforms.

What You'll Build
  • Own and optimize our Autodesk Vault and Inventor environments, ensuring robust data integrity, version control, and security for our most critical design data.
  • Shape the tools our engineers use daily by configuring and enhancing our CAD software, plugins, and workflows to maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate directly with design engineers, providing expert support and guidance on 3D modeling and assembly best practices within Autodesk Inventor.
  • Drive engineering excellence by developing and implementing automation for repetitive CAD tasks using tools like Inventor iLogic and Vault workflows.
  • Serve as our go-to expert for all things Autodesk Vault, establishing and governing file organization, naming conventions, and metadata standards.
  • Uphold the rigorous standards of the defense industry by supporting our Configuration and Data Management (CM/DM) processes to ensure full traceability.
  • Create and deliver clear documentation and training, empowering our engineering team with the knowledge they need to excel with our CAD tools.
What You Bring
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer-Aided Design, a related technical field, or equivalent experience from a technical apprenticeship.
  • At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a CAD Administrator, CAD Manager, or a similar role, ideally within a complex industry like defense, robotics, or automotive.
  • Deep expertise in administering Autodesk Vault and strong proficiency in 3D modeling, assemblies, and drafting with Autodesk Inventor.
  • A solid foundation in PDM/PLM principles and data management best practices.
  • A passion for efficiency, with experience in CAD automation using tools like iLogic or APIs to improve workflows.
  • An analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to train and mentor technical teams.
  • Familiarity with the demands of engineering in a regulated industry is a significant plus.

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
