Creates construction documents and floor plans in support of Information Systems facilities projects. Utilizes drawing and design management systems (AutoCAD) to create plans and maintains journal of project changes.
Job Responsibility
- Creates construction documents and floor plans in support of Information Systems facilities projects utilizing AutoCAD design application.
- Translates architectural backgrounds into floor plan backgrounds.
- Creates, addends, bulletins and revises construction documents as required; makes recommendations for improvement to design and layout.
- Revises and distributes clouded drawings revisions, following field industry standards and methods.
- Maintains journal of project changes through distributed bulletins as well as cost spreadsheets and revisions.
- Modifies project specifications to meet Electronics Industry Association (EIA) and Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) specifications, as necessary.
- Researches and makes recommendations on use of cable vendors.
- Gathers cost data, calculates project costs and prepares cable plant infrastructure bidding and construction documents for management.
- Conducts site surveys involving WAN/LAN closets; inspects facilities equipment ensuring appropriate layout and quality of installations.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
