To support the rapid business growth of Japan Qoo10, we are seeking for a talented and motivated individual with expertise in data science to work with all key business functions and is aimed to deliver actionable analytics insights to help optimize business decision making process.Primary Responsibilities:- Develop, improve and systemize crisp & accurate reporting. Streamline processes and identify/execute on automation and time-saving opportunities
- Extract data using SQL, conduct quantitative analysis, discover patterns or trends in data, identify business Demonstrate strong analytical and statistical skills towards taking complex and unstructured business problems, and providing structured, hypothesis-driven and data-supported practical solutions
- Communicate with business partners to understand business needs, define proper analytical approaches to address their needs
- BS/BA degree or above in Stats, Economics, Math, CS, and other related domains.
- At least three-year hands-on work experience in business analytics, data analysis, report automation or data mining.
- Strong analytics skills. Proficient with SQL. Familiarity with R, Python, or SAS is a plus.
- Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, able to clearly convey analysis results and collaborate effectively with both your own team and business teams.
- Proven track record of turning insights into business growth opportunities in prior roles with increasing scope and responsibilities
- Ability to present complex analyses and insights effectively in simple terms
- Background in ecommerce product experience is a plus
