- Oversee and support clients with accounting, including managing transaction entry, clean-up, and month-end close processes.
- Manage and train junior accountants to foster a high-performance team environment, including provide feedback for growth and development.
- Be the main client contact and person responsible for client service.
- Review monthly financial statements for business owners and stakeholders.
- Formulate customized solutions for clients based on client data and goals.
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Train and mentor junior accountants, reviewing their work and providing feedback.
- Review reconciliations, bill payments, payrolls, and sales tax returns.
- Stay informed on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements to proactively advise clients.
- Optimize workflow processes by following best practices to maximize efficiency and reduce errors
- Deliver high-quality work on time, consistently exceeding client expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA license preferred
- 10+ years of experience in industry accounting or public accounting consulting
- Experience managing and developing staff
- Experience serving family offices preferred
- Experience working with real estate management groups preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Experience with Sage Intacct required
- Experience with Xero preferred
- Ability to design and implement efficient, scalable accounting processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
