JOB DESCRIPTION:

Maintains an efficient system that provides accurate, timely market data and analysis of commercial real estate trends impacting the market for various asset types, spanning across.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Maintain and update existing real estate databases. Compile information from secondary sources (brochures, press, broker input) and verify information by calling competitive brokerage firms.
  • Monitor assigned databases for data integrity and erroneous entries. Strive for data completeness and accuracy. Upgrade and maintain database to meet new guidelines set by company or management.
  • Responsible for all areas of database information for the assigned specialties including inventory, classification, and ownership; lease/sale properties; lease/sale comparable.
  • Solicit input from specialty groups on how to enhance data quality and completeness.
  • Responsible for understanding all company research-related database programs.
  • Coordinate timely data compilation for maintaining quick turnaround to ensure maximum efficiency to clients.
  • Serve as secondary point of contact for demographics and mapping systems.
  • Prepare quarterly market reports for assigned specialties.
  • Understand and interpret purchased data sources and provide training if necessary.
  • Maintain library of market information and periodicals that have previously been used for research purposes.
  • Prepare data for weekly specialty meetings.
  • Contribute to analysis and compilation of data for local thought leadership pieces and ad-hoc requests.
  • Assist Research Manager and Director of Research with other projects as assigned.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • May develop market research graphics for assigned specialty groups and gathers statistics and data from outside sources.
  • Ensure strict adherence to data SOPs for collection and maintenance
  • If necessary, coordinates requests and responses between the local office and Company resources.
  • May perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in an office environment preferred. 
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of demographics and cartography.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong PC skills in working with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong initiative and self-reliance, ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work with various individuals at various levels of management.
