What You’ll Be Part Of
As a C++ Technical Lead, you will play a key role in shaping advanced AI-powered in-vehicle driver and cabin monitoring products that combine machine learning, computer vision, and high-performance embedded software.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will drive architecture and implementation decisions while staying close to the code. You will work with cutting-edge hardware platforms and help guide the team toward scalable, robust, and safety-aware software solutions. In this role, you will report to the Software Group Manager.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead the C++ software implementation for advanced embedded hardware platforms and HW-accelerator-based environments.
- Drive the technical execution of complex computer vision and ML-based systems for driver and cabin monitoring applications.
- Partnering closely with the group’s architect, advising on architecture and serving as delegate architect when needed.
- Act as the primary technical authority for software architecture, design decisions, and implementation quality.
- Mentor engineers across the team and elevate software engineering best practices, code quality, and technical excellence.
- Collaborate closely with algorithm, system, and product teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions.
- Advance the team’s adoption of AI-assisted development tools and agent-based engineering workflows.
- Optimize software performance for real-time and resource-constrained embedded environments.
- Support safety-aware development processes aligned with automotive industry standards and practices.
What Makes You A Strong Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of professional experience developing reliable C++ software for embedded, real-time, and performance-sensitive systems.
- Proven experience serving as a Technical Lead, Software Architect, or senior hands-on technical authority.
- Strong expertise in modern C++ development, software architecture, multithreading, and system optimization.
- Demonstrable experience solving complex technical challenges in large-scale software systems.
- Strong ability to influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence across teams.
- Experience developing software for Linux-based embedded environments.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience with computer vision, AI, or ML-based products, including advanced algorithms, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with automotive software standards and development processes including ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
- Experience working with NVIDIA CUDA, TensorRT, Qualcomm AI frameworks, or hardware accelerators.
- Experience integrating software with GPU, NPU, TPU, or similar acceleration technologies.
- Knowledge of driver monitoring systems (DMS), occupant monitoring systems (OMS), or automotive safety products.
- Experience working in global, cross-functional engineering organizations.
