Join us at PROCEPT BioRobotics as a Buyer/Planner, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless procurement and management of materials essential to our groundbreaking technologies. Your journey with us will involve interfacing with suppliers and internal stakeholders, negotiating optimal terms, and ensuring timely deliveries that meet our quality standards. What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:

  • Serve as the primary purchasing contact, fostering positive and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. 
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage supplier relationships and address any issues proactively. 
  • Determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules, maintaining inventory at planned levels. 
  • Review and execute requisitions and purchase orders timely. 
  • Manage open purchase orders and ensure timely receipt and invoicing of goods and services. 
  • Partner with suppliers and stakeholders to purchase goods and services at optimal prices while maintaining quality standards. 
  • Work cross-functionally and foster teamwork with internal customers and partners. 
  • Collaborate with Receiving, Accounts Payable, and others to resolve goods receipts, invoice errors, PPV, or related issues. 
  • Analyze frequent spending and develop recommendations for cost improvement, inventory levels, and processes. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Procurement, Finance, Quality, SOPs, Work Instructions, and all corporate policies 

The Qualifications We Need You to Possess

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience. 
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in a purchasing or procurement role. 
  • Experience with ERP systems (QAD preferred) and strong Excel skills. 
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within the organization. . 

The Qualifications We Would Like You to Possess

  • Experience in the medical device industry. 
  • Proven track record of negotiating with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms and conditions. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment. 
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY

Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
