- Processes direct requests from the BT&S field organization and Regional Procurement Managers to secure best pricing on job-specific Bills of Material, posting requests to an online bid system and sending such to multiple material suppliers to secure best pricing.
- Provides a best-cost analysis and includes supplier quotes when communicating results of each request back to the field organization.
- Logs all activity in online reporting system to track all open and completed sourcing requests.
- Works with material vendors to register high-value projects and directly negotiates to secure best pricing.
- Researches alternate vendors in cases where products are backordered or we are unable to secure better pricing from primary vendors.
- Will work with business units and vendors for material price checks and order expedite requests.
- Provides continual updates to RPMs and field requestors as to status. Desired completion time for each sourcing event is 48 hours; however, larger projects may have longer lead times.
- Maintains continual communication with Manager Procurement Solutions Center located in the US with any issues, challenges, concerns and particular situations where we are unable to meet the requestors, need-by-date.
- Performs other related tasks as needed.
- Minimum Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Previous industry experience a plus.
- Must have strong customer service & communication skills.
- Ability to speak/communicate in French a plus.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with web-based ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel.
- Must be very organized, able to work with strict deadlines, persistent in obtaining desired feedback from third-party vendors
- Must be able to communicate effectively with US-based team members to clarify any confusion or ambiguity with each request
