Job Description

Job purpose

This role is responsible for and manages MRO purchasing and supplier relationship management.

Main accountabilities and tasks

  1. Manages the order fulfillment process including purchase order entry, purchase order administration, and expediting incoming product.
  2. Responsible for the creation and setup of new vendor master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. 
  3. Monitors purchase order delivery dates to ensure alignment with supply chain schedules and customer requirements.
  4. Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and purchase raw materials required for production.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains
  6.  Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking, and manage reorder points.
  7. Analyze market trends to make cost-effective purchasing decisions and manage budgets.
  8. Executes the purchase order tracking process and ensures purchase orders are processed in accordance with the organization’s customer satisfaction and performance standards
  9. Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost
  10. Proactively communicates changes in material needs, lead times, or inventory levels to support agile decision-making across the supply chain.
  11. Tracks changes in business needs and adjust order quantities to support business increases or decreases
  12. Facilitates process improvement, streamlining of costs, to increase the quality of procurement, logistics, and materials management
  13. Reviews weekly open purchase order report and updates and addresses discrepancies
  14. Assist with inventory counts when applicable

Qualifications

Work experience: 3-5 years of  Buyer /Inventory Planning

Education: Bachelor’s degree or commensurate years’ experience

Other:

  • Excellent and demonstrated organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders and documentation.
  • Outgoing self-starter with a positive attitude who enjoys a small business environment
  • Team player with focus on building organizational relationships to achieve corporate goals
  • SAP, ERP experience preferred but not required
  • Efficient in MS Office Products
  • Strong TEAM and LEAD mentality required
