Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing, the Buyer will manage software procurement across departments including IT, Cloud, R&D, Security, and User Experience. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience in software or technology sourcing who is detail-oriented and independent. Can handle vendor negotiations, contract management, and most importantly—bring strong analytical skills to pricing and proposal evaluations.

A Day in the Life of the Buyer:

• Own end-to-end procurement of software, SaaS, and cloud-based tools
• Build and maintain clean, well-structured Excel models and comparison tables that clearly show price increases, vendor proposals, and ROI analysis
• Lead vendor negotiations on pricing, terms, and renewals
• Review and redline work orders and standard contractual documents
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure contracts align with business needs
• Partner closely with business owners, finance, and accounting to support deal strategy and execution
• Process requisitions using Workday and support document execution with DocuSign and LinkSquares

Required Qualifications - About you:

We are looking for candidates who possess the rare combination of the following achievements, skills and behaviors:

• 3–5 years of procurement experience
• Strong Excel skills — must be comfortable using pivot tables, lookups, and building polished comparison tables for stakeholder review
• Experience with pricing analysis and vendor benchmarking
• Strong communication and negotiation skills — able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and vendors
• Organized, analytical, and confident working independently on complex purchases

Highly Preferred

• Experience with Workday, DocuSign, and/or LinkSquares 
• Software, SaaS, or IT spend

Additional Information:
This is a hybrid role based in Houston, with 3 days per week expected in the office. Compensation is open and will be commensurate with experience.
