The Production Planner is responsible for the strategic development and execution of production schedules for all products assembled in the U.S., as well as overseeing kitting operations to effectively meet customer demand.
Responsibility Level:
The Production Planner will ensure that production schedules align with customer orders, efficiently manage resources, and maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed analysis of build requirements prior to finalizing production schedules based on business needs.

Monitor and track customer orders, providing timely reports on overdue items by business segment.

Communicate shortages to relevant stakeholders, including plants and buyers, while maintaining stock transfer orders (STOs) for sub-assemblies.

Generate and report on schedule attainment metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Develop and maintain capacity models for various Product Business Units (PBUs) to optimize production flows.

Identify production order shortages and escalate issues promptly to plants or buyers.

Manage work orders and maintain STOs for PBUs, ensuring accurate delivery dates.

Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with warehouse personnel to ensure timely deliveries.

Provide accurate delivery dates to Customer Service and Production Supervisors for effective planning.

Expedite production orders as necessary to meet urgent customer demands.
Qualifications Required:
-
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.

Proficiency in MRP and/or ERP systems, with a preference for SAP, experience with various MRP tools is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to work with large-scale data sets and advanced reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.

Experience in continuous improvement processes at optimizing workflows, reducing waste, and improving production efficiency.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, forecast production needs, and drive data-based decision-making.

Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of collaborating across teams to achieve common goals.
