The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Business Unit Leader to spearhead strategic growth in Chile’s ports and maritime sector. This senior leadership role will focus on expanding our presence in marine terminals, harbors, and coastal infrastructure while ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction
Duties and responsibilities:

- Drive business development in ports, marine terminals, and waterfront infrastructure markets.
- Lead the Santiago Business Unit to achieve financial and strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets.
- Oversee delivery of complex maritime projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with port authorities, private operators, and government agencies.
- Mentor and manage staff, including hiring and succession planning.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Coastal, or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 20+ years of consultancy experience in ports and maritime infrastructure planning, design, and project management.
- Professional Engineer registration in Chile or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and delivering large-scale port projects.
- Established network within Chile’s port and maritime industry.
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
Preferred education and experience:
- Master’s degree in Civil, Coastal, Water Resources/Stormwater or Structural Engineering or Economics, Planning

The work takes place mostly in an office environment
Physical requirements:
Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment and furnishings is required. Travel will be required.
