What you are going to do
During this two-year traineeship, you will complete three challenging assignments, rotating between different departments. You might work at the bank, the life or non-life insurer, at the headquarters, or with brands like OHRA and Movir. You can also choose an assignment abroad, for example in Madrid, Prague, or Tokyo. This way, you will get to know our organization inside and out. Your assignments can vary from product management and marketing to change management and data science. We will arrange the first two assignments for you, considering your background and skills. For the third assignment, which lasts one year, you will be in charge. Based on your interests and learning goals, you will shape this assignment.
A traineeship at NN means learning a lot and quickly. We prepare you for a future strategic or leadership role. Together with your fellow trainees in different tracks, you will follow the Future Leaders Programme at Relevance, which focuses strongly on developing personal leadership. Additionally, you will attend substantive training on various topics, such as stakeholder management, project management, and data & AI. Besides the intensive training program, you will receive personal guidance from senior and trainee managers, and you will be assigned a second-year trainee as a buddy. After the traineeship, you have the option to continue working at NN. You will reapply for a role that you desire. The knowledge you gain and the network you build will help you decide where and in which role you want to continue contributing to NN's success after your traineeship

Who you are
You get energy from developing your leadership and management skills while expanding your knowledge in business & transformation. With your communication skills, you know how to inspire and convince people of your ideas and proposals. You like to take the lead in coming up with practical solutions, using your analytical and problem-solving skills for NN and our customers. You also build and maintain a broad network effortlessly.
Additionally, you have:
- A university master's degree in a relevant field, such as Business or Management Studies, Marketing/Communication, Entrepreneurship, Data Science, Product Design, etc., and you expect to graduate by 1 September 2025
- A learning mindset and motivation to work on your own improvement points for further development
- A maximum of two years of work experience since obtaining your master's degree
- A good command of spoken and written in Dutch and English, as you’ll be working in an international environment
Who you will work with
You will join a tight-knit community of 17 fellow trainees who will work in three different disciplines. Together, you will complete every stage of your intensive personal development programme, share knowledge and experiences and participate in events. You will also join NN Young Professionals, helping you expand your alumni network quickly.
At the business units where you will carry out your assignments, you will be working closely with the management and experts. In addition, you will be mentored by a senior leader and coached by the trainee manager, on top of this you also get a second year trainee as your buddy.. Across NN, we foster a friendly, open, collaborative atmosphere and value your ideas and initiatives. And we will give you all the support you need to develop your career and expand your horizon.
