The Role

The Business Transformation Engineer is a key driver of strategic change at Equifax, moving beyond simple process fixes to design and implement truly transformative, technology-driven solutions. This role is responsible for executing root cause analysis for complex business problems and designing entirely new processes that leverage cutting-edge technologies like RPA, AI/ML, Agentic-AI, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics. The work is crucial for modernizing the business while ensuring seamless integration with the existing technological and operational ecosystem.

What you’ll do

  • Provide strategic consultation for highly complex business problems in order to identify and deliver optimization, automation and other efficiencies in cost and productivity.

  • Mentor and guide senior, mid, and junior engineers to enhance their technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Lead the quality assurance process, conducting detailed reviews of project deliverables to ensure they meet established technical standards and business objectives.

  • Foster the development and implementation of a continuous improvement culture.

  • Drive internal continuous improvement by developing and standardizing reusable templates and best practices, thereby shortening delivery times and ensuring exceptional deliverable quality.

  • Manage the documentation and mapping of current business processes through process maps (BPMN 2.0), value stream maps, SIPOCs and other similar artifacts.

  • Define the problem statistically, leveraging facts, trends, and projections to establish a clear data-driven narrative.

  • Pinpoint inefficiencies by applying Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), Kaizen, Lean Start Up, Theory of Constraints, Agile and other advanced process analysis methodologies and techniques.

  • Design ideal brand-new processes (future state) through rigorous internal and external benchmarking, identifying successful practices used within Equifax and across the services industry.

  • Actively research, evaluate, and strategically apply emerging and edge technologies, including but not limited to: RPA, AI, ML, Agentic-AI, Cloud Computing and Data Analytics.

  • Create actionable blueprints from business requirements through conceptual solution designs that serve as foundation for the tech-development. These designs detail how to integrate various systems and leverage modern, edge technologies to operationalize the business processes.

  • Assess proposed solutions for feasibility across technical, financial, and security-compliance dimensions.

  • Coordinate the successful implementation of approved solution proposals, crafting detailed execution plans, fostering collaboration between business and technical stakeholders, and ensuring widespread adoption through strategic change management.

  • Provide regular updates to executive levels on the outcomes and value generated by the implemented solutions.

What experience you need

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering with strong Digital Transformation skills or demonstrated experience as a Computer Engineer with Lean Six Sigma skills; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years focused on digitally transforming processes in the services industry.

  • Proficient in English oral and written (B2)

  • Hands-on practice experience using the Lean Six Sigma methodology and statistical analysis.
