Job Description
This sub family is responsible for the analysis and evaluation of user business problems and the development of system recommendations to meet requirements. Analyzes current and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems. Duties include coordinating with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of user acceptance, and may coordinate testing and system controls.
Primary Responsibilities
Leidos has a career opportunity for a Data Analyst with a focus on logistics and asset management applications. The successful candidate will track IT, hardware, and software assets ordered by our customer, concentrating on the tools that enable accurate tracking and management of the assets. The candidate will become familiar with various tools and applications to help our Receiving & Handling team improve their execution and performance. The candidate will join our team in a warehouse in Springfield, VA and will help maintain awareness of all customer orders and assisting with organizing and tracking existing inventory. Duties will include learning/mastering a variety of tools used to run a warehouse, manage inventory, project/anticipate supply needs, and schedule deliveries and shipping.
Basic Qualifications
- IT acumen and demonstrated experience learning/mastering new tools and applications. This is an absolute must for success in this role!
- Experience working with raw data (within spreadsheets, databases, etc.) and using best practices to conduct analysis.
- Experience gathering data from disparate systems to create reports and produce metrics.
- An understanding of descriptive analytics (what), diagnostic analytics (why), predictive analytics (what’s going to happen), and prescriptive analytics (what should be done).
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as: Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Must enjoy working independently, with an ability to partner effectively on team efforts and across departments.
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
- Must possess keen attention to detail.
- Typically requires BS and 4+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
- Must possess a current/in-scope TS/SCI w FS Polygraph clearance or ISSA/TS clearance with Poly.
Preferred Qualifications
The candidate should be able to learn the purpose and functionality of tools and applications quickly. An understanding of logistics and experience in warehouse operations are also desired but not required. Experience with and understanding ServiceNow (ServicePlus, ServiceCentral) is also desired but not required. If the candidate does not have ServiceNow experience, they should be prepared to attend training on the platform. Candidate should also be prepared to receive training on Power-BI, if necessary.
