Position Summary
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for working with stakeholders and project managers to gather business requirements, test requirements, prioritize projects, and maintain a backlog. She/he will bridge the gap between cross functional teams using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and document the business objectives of each project and identify the business needs that the system must meet.
- Analyze and understand the business’s systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
- Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.
- Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Conduct data analysis to support business decision making and business process improvement.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings to document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
- Conduct user acceptance testing for system maintenance and enhancements.
- Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities focusing on scalability and standardization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Business Shared Services (BSS) stakeholders to support adoption and information sharing.
- Maintain basic knowledge of BSS processes and assess process health regarding quality, efficiency, adherence, and risk management.
- Act as liaison with strategic operations to address trending business issues and collaborate cross-functionally for resolutions.
- Perform project-related activities, including coordination, requirements gathering, and testing.
Work Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Insurance industry experience and familiarity with AIM, ImageRight, and ConceptOne strongly preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
· Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or Agile Analysis Certification (AAC) is preferred.
Technical/Functional Skills:
- CSPO is preferred, but not required

The target salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
