Role overview
As a core member of the Financial Technologies team in Enterprise Applications, the Business Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing and enhancing our quote-to-cash financial systems. The Business Systems Analyst serves as the crucial link between business objectives and the technical capabilities of our systems. With a strong focus on requirements design and analysis, systems documentation, and quality assurance, the ideal candidate will work collaboratively with finance, accounting, and operations stakeholders to shape the future of our financial business processes and ensure they are efficiently supported by our systems.
What you'll do
- Requirements Design: Engage with stakeholders to collect and document business requirements, translating them into specifications in user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Collaborate with Technical Product Managers to build user guides and training materials for end-users.
- Documentation: Create essential technical and business documentation, including data flow, sequence, entity relationship, and integration diagrams. Present system designs to both internal and external stakeholders for approval.
- System Analysis: Demonstrate a strong understanding of quote-to-cash and financial operations processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
- Implementation: Collaborate with engineers as a member of the scrum team to implement technical solutions that meet business requirements and compliance regulations, including SOX controls and audit requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with QA to ensure thorough testing and design test cases by applying test planning strategies.
- User Acceptance Testing: Collaborate with business stakeholders to document user acceptance testing scenarios and obtain sign-off prior to deployment. Assist with testing coordination and defect documentation.
- Subject Matter Expert: Become an expert on our financial systems stack, including subscription billing, revenue recognition, and ERP. Stay current on feature releases and industry developments to proactively identify optimization opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to inform system decisions and financial process design.
Who you are
- 3+ years of business analyst experience, preferably in a finance or enterprise systems context.
- Self-starter with proactive qualities and an analytical mindset.
- Able to navigate ambiguity and take ownership of assignments and business outcomes.
- Adept at identifying challenges and crafting effective solutions with a structured, data-informed approach.
- Independent and capable of driving initiatives end-to-end.
- Active listener with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable engaging deeply with both finance stakeholders and technical teams to bridge process and system requirements.
- Collaborative team player, able to work across Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Engineering.
- Some experience with financial systems such as Zuora, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or SAP preferred.
- Familiarity with core accounting principles and best practices, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), order-to-cash workflows, general ledger structures, period-end close processes, accounts receivable, and the relationship between billing systems and the general ledger.
- Understanding of how system changes intersect with financial controls, audit trails, and SOX compliance is a plus.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
- CPQ experience or related certifications are a plus.
The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on-target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles.
Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package. In addition to benefits, this role may qualify for discretionary bonuses/incentives and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$75,000 - $93,000 USD
