This is a unique opportunity to join an emerging R&D IT function embedded within Driscoll’s Global R&D organization, while partnering closely with the established Global Information Services (IS) team. You will work at the intersection of science and technology, engaging stakeholders from breeding, lab, genotyping, data science, and IT; to shape requirements, evaluate solutions, and ensure our digital investments deliver on scientific and business outcomes.

• Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
• Oversee business to system knowledge management, documentation, and assisting in overall system design from user interface to backend processes in both custom application development and software configuration projects.
• Business analysis processes mapping, including assorted requirements gathering methodologies, and creating user stories.
• Interact as IS contact with business unit partners to facilitate identification of process improvements, risk management, system design, testing and implementation of complex solutions.
• Lead and facilitate workshops and discussions to effectively gather requirements, analyze them against available capabilities, and achieve a detailed understanding of client objectives and desired outcomes.
• Responsible for interpreting and validating horizontal business strategies and operational needs into technology solutions that drive efficiency and process improvement.
• Provide business and technical leadership and work with the IS Project Team to ensure that projects progress on expected timelines and alert project team to risks and issues related to IT solutions.
• Identify and understand up/down-stream impacts of requests and accommodate for or mitigate risks accordingly.
• Lead the planning, support, and execution of user acceptance test cycles, including identifying and documenting all relevant business scenarios and test cases.
• Effectively prioritize and self-manage a multi-project workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure the security of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials.
Candidate Profile• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agribusiness, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Business Systems Analyst role strongly preferred.
• Experience with testing ERP, CRM, CLM, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), BIMS (Breeding Information Management System), FMS (Farm Management Software), custom-built software solutions or equivalent, and integrations between all.
• Requires strong written, verbal, and people skills to convey both technical and non-technical concepts to a wide audience.
• Customer Service focused with strong facilitation skills.
• Requires excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. A comprehensive understanding of business processes and the ability to quickly learn new processes.
• Basic level experience using SQL for querying and analyzing data.
• Ability to create high-quality User Stories based on business requirements.
• Understanding of API concepts.
• Experience with Python.
• Strong experience with Microsoft product suite, including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and SharePoint required.
• Domestic and international travel and/or global communication up to 10% required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively present findings and recommendations to management.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI/ML tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AutoML) to accelerate data pipeline development, system integration, and exploratory analysis in scientific or R&D environments.
• Experience in both in-house development solutions and implementation of vendor delivered applications preferred.
• Experience with custom web and mobile application development projects.
• Intermediate level experience using SQL for querying and analyzing data.
• Expresses detail level business/systems analysis using As-Is Swimlane Diagrams, UML Use Case and other modeling standards.
• Works independently, with guidance only in complex situations
• Experience with Anaplan, ArcGIS, Tableau/PowerBI, data marts, and/or Blue Yonder Warehouse Management is a plus.
• Experience with JIRA or similar tool.
• Certification in ECBA or CBAP, or a willingness to pursue certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
• A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
Compensation and Benefits

The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.
Salary Range estimated for the Business Systems Analyst role: $86,320.00/year to $132,928.00/year.

The Global Information Services (IS) function operates through a global structure and is organized in departments by IT expertise. This role is located at our corporate headquarters and serves the Americas region (USA, Canada, Mexico, and parts of South America).
The Business Engagement Team consists of Business System Analysts (BSAs) and Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and are the key liaison between the business and the Global Information Services function. Together with our business partners, the BSA captures/documents business requirements, plans/facilitates end user testing, assists the project team with the successful delivery of software products/services, while ensuring the defined strategic business goals are met.
