The Role
We're looking for a Business Systems Analyst / Data Engineer to combine strong business analysis expertise with hands-on data engineering capabilities. In this role, you'll work with stakeholders to understand business and data requirements while designing and delivering enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using modern Azure data technologies.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle, helping transform complex business requirements into scalable, high-quality data solutions that drive informed decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and data requirements for enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines that ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple source systems within Azure-based environments.
- Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
- Produce source-to-target mappings, data models, technical specifications, and support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployments.
- Collaborate within Agile delivery teams, working closely with solution architects, developers, and QA professionals while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Engineer, or in a hybrid BSA/Data Engineering role with strong business and technical analysis skills.
- Advanced SQL expertise with hands-on experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong programming experience using Python and PySpark, with practical knowledge of Azure-based data platforms.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with experience working in Agile environments.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable data solutions.

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database/SQL Server, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is listed below. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment.

Skills Required
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a DevOps Engineer supporting Azure cloud environments and enterprise data platforms.
- Designing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment configuration.
- Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or ARM Templates.
- PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Azure security, identity management, and secrets management using Azure Key Vault.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments; strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Power BI Deployment Pipelines.
- Experience implementing Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for monitoring and operational support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, cloud governance, and enterprise security best practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud migration, data platform modernization, or analytics transformation initiatives.
- Financial services consulting or regulated industry experience.
