Job Description

UMB’s Specialty Corporate Trust team offers a variety of trust services to the structure finance world for aviation, rail and real estate. We work with customers based all across the world to onboard their business and administer the trust transactions. Our team supports UMB by bringing in direct revenue to the bank in the way of fee revenue and interest income. We offer a niche product and service offering and our team is known around the world as one of a few specialty trust departments that can onboard and administer this unique group of products.

The Business Support Specialist supports the Specialty Corporate Trust team by partnering with the Relationship Managers on client support, including account updates, system set-ups, note transfers, audit confirmations and other administrative responsibilities related to the trusts.

Working in the Specialty Corporate Trust group can be fun and exciting. It is often fast paced and has monthly deadlines that we rally around. It is an environment where the associates take pride in their work, support each other, provide the resources needed to succeed, and always work as a team. Our team has a strong background in the industry and many associates have 10-30 years of experience working these types of deals. We are always happy to share our knowledge and help those around us grow!

How you’ll spend your time:  

  • You will use your attention to detail to manage risks associated with processing high volume of activities daily
  • Act as a liaison between Bond/Loan Operations and Relationship Managers
  • Review incoming messages in a shared mailbox to determine priority and urgency, while completing the requests in order of priority.
  • You will use your critical thinking skills to resolve operational issues
  • You will use your customer service skills to provide specialized assistance to the Relationship Management team, which may include, but is not limited to; coordination and execution of systems set-ups, coordination and compilation of Note Transfer documentation, Audit Confirmations, account set-ups, record keeping, maintenance and updates to systems

Compensation Range:

$51,291 - $75,460
