About the role:

The Business Project Manager will be instrumental in XO Health’s execution of its business architecture. As a part of the Project Management team, this person will work closely with Business Leads, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers to support the success of key initiatives and product launches that informs and drives insight to ensure XO’s success. The Business Project Manager assists in setting the tone for the day-to-day inner workings of internal project teams, and ultimately ensures a positive, productive atmosphere.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a proven track record of planning and executing software development projects.

In this role, you will:

  • Project Documentation – Work alongside internal and potentially third party/vendor(s) teams orchestrating, managing, and tracking project documentation in JIRA, Confluence and Monday.com. Said documentation should meet any/all state, federal or certification guidelines/requirements to ensure XO’s success.
  • Collaboration - Promote an environment of collaboration and willingness to listen to build relationships with internal resources such as PMO, external partner(s) and/or potentially customer resources to foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Communication - Report out the project status, requirements and issues to other team leads resources such as PMO and/or operations to provide deliverable updates, and potential risks.
  • Meeting Coordination – Coordinate and attend internal meetings that potentially may include third party/vendors for a flawless project execution. Assist with coordinating meetings for internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, team resources, if applicable and potentially external vendor/partner resources. Ensure appointed resources are available to participate in all project meetings.
  • Team & Time Management – Provide effective planning, managing, and tracking of team task/work assignment(s) at a story level across multiple projects.
  • Managing Dependencies - Track project dependencies and proactively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Manages Project Risk– Identify, manage, document, and escalate risk(s) as early as possible upon awareness to avoid the financial risk that can sometimes exist. Participate in solutioning session(s) to resolve potential risk(s) identified and documenting the identified resolution(s).   
  • Regulatory compliance - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to healthcare plan operations and technology projects.
  • Workflow Design/Requirements– Understand workflow design and documentation. Articulate the operational workflow to technical resources to ensure deliverables meet the documented requirements. Articulate if said requirements are not achievable and further discussion(s) are needed.

We’re Looking for People Who Have:

  • Recent experience in a health plan, leading large, complicated projects through the complete project lifecycle.
  • 7+ years of experience as a project manager.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and able to implement/drive project lifecycle methodology.
  • Experience managing and reporting day-to-day project activities such as defining deliverables, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Experience with leading and participating in user acceptance testing.
  • Experience with certification/accreditation such as HITRUST.
  • Experience with leading projects with significant technology enablement.
  • Experience with minimizing project risk and risk documentation.
  • Understands and applies leading-edge project management methodologies to drive deliverables.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to problem solve while demonstrating influencing skills.
  • Ability to reduce manual intervention by offering more automated suggestions/ideas.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships to gain trust and respect.
  • Built constructive relationships to foster collaboration and cross-functional thinking.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Monday.com, preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.

$120,000$130,000 USD
