The Transfer Agent (TA) Modernization is an enterprise-level program to modernize the platform and capabilities currently supported by VAST and Financial Advisor Services Division (FAS) service platforms, retiring the legacy platform and improving the U.S. operating model for U.S Transfer Agency Operations. The TA Modernization program focuses on enhancing our recordkeeping for mutual fund transactions with a cutting-edge technology solution.

 About the Role: 

The Business Project Manager, Specialist will play a pivotal role in our work to drive our stakeholder engagement model, as well as lead several important initiatives as part of our PMO organization. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor and connection point between program management, business readiness and integration teams, ensuring cohesive and comprehensive stakeholder messaging and clear, effective communication.

What We're Looking For: A successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous working environment, demonstrating flexibility in adjusting and incorporating new information from multiple sources. They should have experience synthesizing information and analyses into actionable recommendations, as well as working with senior managers to prepare and deliver materials, including executive level presentations and visuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages projects or multiple workstreams within a broader project or program. Develops, implements, and monitors project plans. Contributes expertise to major project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Provides insight on best practices and common obstacles based on prior experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to ensure projects are aligned with the overall company strategy and market conditions.
  • Communicates project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders, team members, and senior managers.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships. Proactively fosters communication between internal and external project stakeholders. Influences key decisions across stakeholder groups.
  • Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates risks and any related project issues. Communicates solutions on key issues or projects to management and stakeholders to obtain their input and buy-in as appropriate.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years’ related work experience. Two years of managing a project preferred. Financial Services and function-specific experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders at all levels in the organization. Ability to lead initiatives to desired conclusion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to effectively communicate with external and internal business clients and crew members at all levels.
  • Experience developing content and visuals appropriate for executive audiences and be adept at working collaboratively within a dynamic team.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to analyze issues quickly and independently to take appropriate action with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, ambiguous working environment with multiple and diverse responsibilities.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of energy. Proven self-starter with ability to work independently and within teams.
