As a Business Process Analyst – Level 2 located in Redondo Beach, CA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
This role supports recurring reporting cycles and ensures data accuracy; manages data inputs, outputs, and analysis across platforms such as SAP, Deltek Cobra, wInsight, Power BI, and Excel based tools; and contributes to business process improvements.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support recurring business and financial processes and scheduled reporting cycles, including data collection, validation, reconciliation, and reporting, while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Support data flows across systems such as SAP, Cobra, wInsight, and related reporting tools
- Manage and support Cobra system processes, including updating Cobra code files, implementing and repricing rate files, and validating data used in cost reporting and reconciliation activities
- Support SAP-related business processes, including the creation and maintenance of networks, WBS elements, IWOs, settlement rules, and related project or cost-structure data
- Investigate data discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and help resolve process or system issues
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for business partners, program teams, and leadership using Excel, Power BI, SQL queries, or other reporting tools
- Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of system updates, reporting changes, and process improvements
- Document business processes, standard operating procedures, job aids, and process flows to improve consistency and knowledge sharing
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and support process enhancements
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in handling sensitive financial and operational data
- Independently manage defined processes, contribute to small projects, and recommend practical improvements to reporting, reconciliation, or workflow efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field with 2 years of professional experience in business process analysis, financial systems support, reporting, data analysis, or related work – OR – Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field with 0 years of professional experience.
- Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new systems, business processes, and technical tools
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to work with large datasets and perform basic analysis
- Experience supporting Cobra administration activities, including rate file updates, code file maintenance, or related cost-system processes.
- Experience working SAP to support project and cost-management processes
- Ability to analyze workflows, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in financial, cost, or project-management environments
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) principles, terminology, and related reporting processes
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, VBA, Power Query, or other reporting and process automation tools
- Background in government contracting, cost management, or program-finance environments

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
