The Business Solutions Senior Analyst - Credit provides strategic business analysis services to partners and expertise on industry-leading technologies, reporting tools, data management methodologies, and best practices within data science-driven environments. The focus of this position is to work closely with the Credit Operations units to gain in-depth understanding of their business strategy, processes, and services roadmap, assist the Business Solutions Manager in providing guidance in response to partner needs, and work closely with technology teams to lead solutions implementation using Agile and Scrum methodologies. This includes contributing to the development of business cases for review and approval and helping prioritize features through the development of high-quality business requirements.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into system improvements and share feedback on product increments 

  • Collaborate with systems analysts and other technology support personnel to develop business cases, high level plans, and project closure documents.  

  • Create formal project proposals, user story development, and statements of work that capture requirements and proposed solutions to meet business objectives 

  • Conduct and oversee specific business analysis activities to support technology teams and oversee functional testing to support testing efforts and requirements traceability. 

  • Ensure all results are accurate as they flow into various applications and collaborate with business and technology partners throughout the validation process. 

  • Assist in resolving operational issues that arise. Communicate issues and resolution strategy to business partners in an easy-to-understand format. 

  • Maintain data models, queries, and extracts as needed for recurring reports. 

  • Lead internal workshops and employee engagements to educate on specific technologies and applications to facilitate adoption of new processes. 

  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify new opportunities for the company’s products or services. Provide technical advice on industry standards, design, usage, functionality, behavior, and user interface specifications and configuration parameters for supported or proposed applications and services to fit business needs. 

  • Review reports, processes, and technologies with Operations Solutions leadership team and stakeholders to determine whether action or enhancement is required. Provide advice on best practice around business process design and team execution improvement. 

  • Drive the process of monthly maintenance changes, minor enhancements, and major projects that will impact the system. 

  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure that needs are fulfilled properly and timely. 

  • Provide expert operational input and facilitate design and training sessions with business users.  

  • Participate in the development of system documentation and training materials. 

  • Provide regularly scheduled progress reports to the Operations Solutions leadership team, discussing operational risks and mitigation strategies.  

  • Provide required leadership and development of junior analysts to ensure a high functioning team effort. 

 

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of proven experience in strategy, business operations, analytics, and/or project management. 

  • 3+ years of proven experience managing platform development lifecycles related to FIS Commercial Loan Servicing (fka ACBS), Abrigo Sageworks, DocuSign, Finastra Laserpro, and other applicable credit platforms.

  • Proficiency with the suite of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), SQL, Azure DevOps, AWS, Fiserv, Abrigo Sageworks, and/or similar systems. 

  • Sound data analysis, problem resolution, team building, and decision-making skills required. 

  • Understanding of Project Management and SDLC methodologies preferred. 

  • Experience working with requirements tools and issue tracking software (JIRA or similar). 

  • Extremely meticulous to ensure the creation of a quality product throughout the project lifecycle. 

  • Ability to create alignment across multiple functional areas to drive change in accordance with project objectives. 

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment. 

  • Ability to work with and manage multiple external vendors. 

  • Ability to communicate highly technical and complex concepts effectively across all levels of the organization (both IT and business). 

  • Understand work processes and information needs of the solution and technology options 

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other business leaders and work independently. 

  • Combination of experience in systems/IT working with financial services, mortgage, and/or banking industries preferred.
